Basil Basil Everywhere.

I had a bunch of left over basil languishing in the fridge and finally got my act together to do something with it.
Bring on the food processor.
I made a sort-of-pesto. I think it's "sort-of" because I used almonds and not pine nuts but I sampled it and it tasted right to me.
Than I put it in an ice cube tray and froze the heck out of it. With saran wrap pressed up against it to avoid frosty bits.
Pesto cubes!

This was about a half cup of olive oil, a few shakes of salt & pepper, a quarter cup of parmesan cheese, and a handful of almonds with about 15 pulses in the food processor.
Now we can have some pesto here and there when we feel like it and that poor old basil didn't meet an untimely end.
